Light, Bright, Sea View Studio

Luxury 5* star accommodation in the cosy, sleepy fishing village of Port Isaac.  The studio is just a stone’s throw from the harbour with mesmerising views overlooking the Platt and only a hop, skip and a jump away from Nathan Outlaws and the village centre.

Famous for being the film location for Fisherman’s Friends, Doc Martin and Saving Grace, Port Isaac aka Port Wenn is a delightful Cornish village that dates back to the Saxon Times.  The house itself Lanroc is around 200 years old and has been home to the Knight family since 2010.  We are rather an eclectic bunch who’ve taken great pleasure in renovating this beautiful home into the luxurious haven it is today. Its quirky character has stood the test of time, and although sadly only two fishing boats remain of a once very active port, we love its narrow streets (do check out Squeeze Belly Alley) its friendly locals and the fabulous cuisine. We thoroughly hope with warm hearts that you enjoy your stay as much as we do staying there, and your visit is magical and joyful with many experiences to remember.

Experience the beauty of the Cornish coast

We invite you to take a rejuvenating break and fall asleep listening to the waves in this compact and quirky little studio in the middle of Port Isaac. Little Lanroc is an absolute gem of a find with a stunning vista, a place of respite where the South West Coastal walkers can put their feet up in comfort and the Doc Martin enthusiasts can take time out to soak up the Cornish atmosphere. We also cater for just an overnight stay which is a rarity in the village if you just fancy a brief getaway.

Why Little Lanroc ...

Private garden

We have recently landscaped our garden which is for your own private use during your stay. This is a rare find in the village with outstanding views. If you're lucky enough to stay with us over the summer, you could find yourselves regaled on a balmy summer's eve by the famous Fisherman's Friends on the Platt.

Culinary Delights

Port Isaac and Port Gaverne boast three Michelin star awarded restaurants. Nathan Outlaw's has two in the village and Pilchards is in Port Gaverne (within walking distance of the studio). Please do book ahead of your stay as both are extremely popular to avoid disappointment. We as a family prefer Nathan Outlaw's Kitchen as it's closer and more intimate.

Dog Friendly

Having travelled through Europe with my Cockerpoo Bumble we'd love to extend our welcome to your furry friends and family members. I have adventured extensively with my little bundle of joy so I know a holiday just isn't the same without them!

"Amazing location and lovely friendly host in this fantastic port town. Bijoux- but cleverly appointed. Comfortable and cozy. Good for single or couple. Is a one room property, with shower in the bedroom. Suited our needs and as described. If travelling in the off season (January) there is nothing open in the morning. There are local pubs for dinner. Coffee and tea making provided in the room. Thanks Sophie - glad to have stayed here."

"From the beginning, Sophie cared about our comfort. It felt like arranging to stay with an old friend. Stunning location, gorgeous room. Sophie even went out of her way to book a table at the local pub so that we wouldn't miss out. Highly recommend to anyone considering booking, absolutely well worth it."
