The location is key. Absolutely spot on. Yes issues with parking and whether it adds to the quaint village or not it would be great if you didn’t need to walk 15 minutes to location. That said parking cost £10 for 3 days. Maybe, bags could be left somewhere if you arrive early but that’s your choice. You can drive to studio and unload if necessary. The view is amazing, the garden we loved. We were in the centre of village and lucky (speaking to other visitors) to get such a prime spot at relatively short notice. We would certainly stay again, the bed is now a big comfy double, and plenty of wardrobe space. Shower is fine. Sophie communicated when needed and we hope to visit again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

I tripped onto this place at the last minute, and totally lucked out–it was exactly what I needed, right where I needed it to be, and offered me the massive bonus of some of best sleep I’ve had in a long while. Open the window onto the iconic harbour view and let the gentle sound of waves lull you to sleep…. My travelling companions were staying in two other Port Isaac locations, but we always met at mine as a central launching point–yet i was the one with the private garden looking out to the ocean and with the unbelievable sleeping conditions. Sophie has obviously travelled herself, as everything I need was there, and things just worked really well. She was a super-friendly and proactive communicator who offered me advance guidance about taxis and travel given that we’d be trekking a couple times over to Roscarrock Farm for wedding events…offering a torch for our late-night travels on foot or a back ride in a bind. Super chill & helped me sort out getting to the train.

Sophie place is a beautiful small studio. You do not go to a quaint little place like this expecting a 5 star hotel, it was a fantastic find and we would definitely be back. It may not have been spotless, and maybe needs a little care but I wouldn’t have changed anything. We felt right at home with our cockapoo settling straight in. It has everything you need with a stunning view over the harbour. There is scaffolding next door at the moment but that can’t be helped. A great find and a little gem !

Sophie’s place is an absolute gem! The location is sublime, talk about a room with a view! Hear the sound of the sea as you go to sleep in the most sumptuous bed with luxurious bedding. Amazing location, great for a night or two, could be cleaner but we were a last minute booking, lovely touches, comfy bed, good shower, walkable to beach and eateries easily, great comms from Sophie.

The studio is ideally located right in the centre of Port Isaac. The place itself is beautifully decorated, has everything you need for a short stay (or even longer), with a great view of the harbour and a tranquil garden overlooking the bay. Communication with Sophie, the host, prior to booking, before arrival and during our stay was quick and very helpful and we felt very welcome upon arrival – Sophie went above and beyond, providing us with a baby bath, very thoughtful! We can highly recommend this place ans loved staying there. Thank you!

Very cute, quite central room with a gorgeous window out on the harbour, which gives it a lot of character. (That window seems very thin though, wonder about how cold it gets in there in winter…) Just a few steps down the road you’ll find great pubs and restaurants for the evening. Would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay. The place was cosy and had everything we needed. The bonus was it was right next to the ocean so we could hear the seagulls and the waves rolling in all night long… perfect!

I really enjoyed my short stay at Sophie’s studio with my dog. The studio is very old and is located in a stunning position overlooking the harbour- the window was perfect to sit at listening to the waves and with the sea breeze . Sophie has not only created a space with everything you need but a room full of beautiful things, including gorgeous candles, toiletries and paintings. There’s even a little garden area to use-perfect for morning coffee or evening wine… Sophie was around when I needed help with the key and throughout my stay. I would definitely come again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Sophie’s place. The views of the sea right out the window and listening to the waves crash onto the shore all night was so peaceful and relaxing. And being able to walk out the front door and walk to the golden lion pub in 30 seconds was an added bonus. Sophie was very friendly and helpful and I felt very welcomed by her.

Fantastic, quirky and convenient

We had just finished another stage of the Southwest coastal path and wanted one more day / night not involving walking to relax. Sophie’s accommodation was compact but had everything we needed. The location and views and access to local pub and restaurants was excellent, we enjoyed our stay, we ate at the Moat and had a drink at the Golden Lion, both excellent choices.

Perfect little studio overlooking the harbour. Literally 1 minute from the pub and centre of town. Sophie and dog Bumble were very helpful and accommodating. Would stay again, thank you.

The location was totally amazing, the view from window to die for and a wild garden to sit in long into the evening too. Was able unload/load right outside (even with my biggish car), found the 2 pay for village car parks but managed to get a free street place where Sophie recommended. Yes, it’s steep and hilly around the area but it’s a harbour. Felt lucky to be able to park right outside momentarily to unload/load. I found futons comfortable and no people/traffic disturbed me (I am from a busy city). I was able to have a hot coffee, keep drinks cool in fridge and the odd microwave meal. Tried a few places to eat and they were all great. Watch out for the seagulls if eating outside!!! I will happily return and I highly recommend. I had no issues with the place, location or host. A very happy customer.

Wonderful! Completely charming with a spectacular view. Super sweet and cozy for two. Sophie was so kind and friendly and positive! I absolutely loved the way she has decorated the place and made use of small spaces. Lots of sweet little touches! Would definitely stay again!!!

Sophie welcomed us in a very friendly way. The place was quite small as described but nicely decorated. We slept wonderfully deep and firm on the sofa bed. We would book the accommodation again at any time.

Sophie’s place was nice. you cannot get a better location. You have a supermarket and good restaurants near by. Is a small studio but good for a short period. Only reason I say short period is because of the sofa beds, they are not comfy and you don’t have a place to wash dishes. Otherwise no issues at all

Sophie’s place is just perfect for 1 or 2 nights stay in port Isaac.(although I would be more than happy to live there!) The view down to the port is probably one of the best there is for the money! Will gladly return if I ever find myself in port Isaac again. Everything port Isaac has to offer is right on your doorstep. Loved this cozy little place!

Cute little place overlooking the pretty harbour. Sophie was great at explaining where to park and how to find her place. Port Isaac is very quaint, and the room was a great price for something that is so central and so close to pubs/bakery/shops etc…. It’s literally right on the tiny street down to the harbour, this can get noisy from any passing people and the few cars/deliveries that travel that way in the mornings. Beds were comfy for us! not ideal for more than a couple of nights I’d say, but fine for 2 nights. We left them set up rather than making them each day. But that does make the place feel quite cluttered as very little floorspace, especially as there’s a lot of other furniture, etc.. in such a small space Good wifi, which was great, as no phone signal anywhere for us.

Stayed for a weekend with a friend and dogs. Beautiful little place, it’s small but stunning view and in the perfect position. Beds comfy, place was clean and loads of places to eat / drink on the doorstep. I will come back again for sure. Thank you Sophie 😀

We had a lovely nights’ stay at Sophie’s cottage. It was easy to find – although we did walked passed it the first time. It’s a prime location close to everything overlooking the harbour. Sophie was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The chair/beds were ok, not the most comfy but we were tired after a long walk so slept well regardless. There is a small kitchenette with a fridge, kettle and microwave so easy to make a brekkie in the morning. Perfect stay for when walking the coast path.

fab place for an overnight stay

We did not meet Sophie, but the self check in process went smoothly. Despite not having a kitchen, the place had a microwave, a mini-fridge, cups and plates, and an electric kettle, so it was possible to keep and eat food there. That said, it wasn’t really convenient for stays longer than one night. There was no place to wash the dishes or to put them away. The room is quite small. The makeshift beds take a while to make, so it’s not easy to undo them and put them away in the morning, but leaving them on the floor leaves no room for two adults to move around. They were also rather uncomfortable to sleep in and we both woke up with backaches. Finally, the listing says “free street parking”, but you can’t really park anywhere on that street for more than a few minutes to load and unload luggage. The closest street with free parking is up a very steep hill about a 10 min walk from the place. It is more accurate to say the place does not have parking. Overall, this was one of the less comfortable AirBnBs that we stayed in during our long trip across the southern coastline of England. It’s a cute place with a lovely sea view for maybe one night, but not very comfortable for longer stays.

This is a little gem, a lovely oasis in the busyiness of port Issac. A fabulous view over the harbour, a fabulous wilding garden where I enjoyed a beer in the late evening sun and going to sleep to the sound of the sea! As long as you don’t mind a sofa bed which I didn’t, it was surprisingly comfy. Sophie was really welcoming. I would most definitely recommend.

A pleasant stay in an ideal location, you literally look out over the sea, beautiful. We had absolutely no phone signal so the useful wifi in the studio was great. Parking is a nightmare, be prepared for a long steep walk to you’re car, once you have found a space right at the top of the village. The studio was adequate enough, although quite small, I took some breakfast things to cook but unfortunately no cooker, just a cooker microwave not that nice for a cooked breakfast! The futons were okay to sit on, but to sleep on, we found they were quite uncomfortable, I do suffer with backache, and as your literally sleeping on the floor I didn’t sleep too well, maybe a sofa bed would be better. The garden to the side is lovely, although very over grown. A lovely place to sit and enjoy a morning coffee with amazing views, would be even better if the surrounding bushes/plants were cut down! A lovely little coffee shop right opposite so that’s a nice bonus too. The harbour is lovely, dog friendly so our little pup loved it, he ran around so much and dived in for a swim too! Lovely coastal walk too, he had a fab time! The best food by far was in the Old school house, amazing fish n chips!!

The location can’t be beat! The space is small, but very comfortable. The beds are futons on the floor, and they are adequate. Again, the location here is the key! You are right in the heart of Port Issac. I would rent from Sophie again!

So quaint, what an amazing location! We didn’t realise beforehand that it was an the main run right in the centre of Port Isaac. We laughed as putting the futons up was a bit of a workout as hubby has not long had a knee op so I had to do it. But the beds were unbelievably surprisingly comfy. Loved having our piccy tea and a glass of wine whilst looking out at the harbour. Thank you!

If you are just looking for somewhere to stay for a night in this area, the room is great. We were a little skeptical about sleeping on chairs that folded out, but they were surprisingly comfortable! It’s not a huge space, but super central to Port Isaac

We loved our stay in Sophie’s little studio. Amazing views, comfy futons from which to enjoy the lulling sound of the waves, and a really wonderful private garden where relaxed and sipped our tea in the mornings. Splendid!

Me and my daughter had a wonderful time staying here. Sophie was extremely welcoming, and so was the well prepared flat which came with everything we needed for the week. The location is gorgeous with a wonderful view overlooking the harbour and a stone’s throw from the centre of the village/harbour. We stayed in Sophie’s studio flat for 1 night instead of getting the tent out in the rain! Great location overlooking Port Issac beach, everything you need for a short stay. Futons were lovely and comfy. Reasonably priced for such a perfect location. Sophie was friendly and replied quickly, would definitely stay here again.

What a stunning view!

Sophie’s studio is in a fantastic location overlooking the harbour in Port Isaac. It was amazing to wake up to the sound of the sea in the morning. The studio was fairly basic but ideal for a short break. Sophie was extremely helpful and her communication was excellent. We had a very relaxing break and would love to come back. Thank you very much Sophie.

The room is basically as described: the location and the view of the harbor and sea are sensational. The shower is great even if you are right in the room after showering. The futon beds are quite cozy, but you have a constant problem with dirt and sand due to the floor proximity to the stone floor. Small fridge, micro and kettle are available in a kind of broom room as described. The furnishings are unique and original, but there is a lack of opportunities to store and/ or hang your own stuff. The cottage is very old and so everything is a little clammy and somehow everything is on the floor…😁 The “wild garden” could be a wonderful place, but unfortunately it is an impassable high meadow where you can hardly find enough flat space to put the armchair. Since there are only a few places to stay in Port Isaac, this room is certainly an option; unfortunately it is not really cozy.

Fabulous location!! Situated right in the heart of Port Isaac with a stunning view of the harbour. Quaint little place.

This very cute space with an amazing view is a nice option for a stay in Port Isaac. Just be aware that the beds are chairs that turn into a futon bed on the floor. So the space suits those who do not mind this – and we didn’t. The Wifi was really quick, which was helpful as we were mixing a holiday with working from our laptops. You can’t get a better location in Port Isaac and the view from the room was lovely. Sophie was really quick to reply and very flexible in allowing us to check in a bit earlier. Thanks so much for that, it was lovely to meet you.

Sophie’s place is the perfect little bolthole for a visit to Port Isaac. Fabulous views over the harbour, and to listen to the waves lapping was magical. Small but perfect for our stay! Do note that if you attempt the coastal walk to Port Quin it is VERY challenging so be prepared! The scenery is stunning however!

Great location, comfortable beds/seats. Great view over harbour and of opposing hills. Did need a bit of a spring clean and bit of maintenance. Paid parking is at top of village and is for 3 hours, half day or 24 hours and no on street parking present unfortunately. Good value for location.

Absolutely fantastic studio we used it for 3 days because filming for Doc Martin and The property was set exactly dead centre to our film sets. So was perfect. Sophie was a great Host supplying us with everything we needed. When we arrived we had all bathroom essentials like flannel, towels, soaps, shower gels, creams, toilet roll and things like herbal teas, night lights. Which is so handy on arrival. Heating was on before we came and to tell you the truth we just turned it off because it was perfect temperature in there for the 3 days in February. I was worried about this because of the hard floor but it was not cold at all. Even Having the pull-out sofa beds on the floor. It was just too hot. Covers had to come off. They must be some kind of expensive memory foam. I cannot praise enough how comfortable those two beds are. I was worried about it but to put it into perspective, I came home after three days and still i preferred Sophie beds rather than my very expensive Tempest memory foam bed. They were great and you never felt the floor. The only thing that was a bit awkward was the shower had just glass, no curtains in or out side to stop people looking in but easily sorted by dangling a towel on the outside glass door. Apart from that I cannot fault the place, It was in a grand location overlooking our film set on the Beach. And a brilliant, kind, very helpful host. Sophie response to messages were instant. And gave us lots of good advice about the area parking and what’s around us. So a big thank you again Sophie We had a great stay and we would definitely come back if we are in the area again. 😘

I absolutely loved Sophie’s place. The view is stunning sitting eating dinner looking out and the harbour and hearing the sea was such a wonderful experience. Really recommend it. Port Isaac is such a beautiful place and this is a rare find to have a property like this with this stunning view.

Location, location, location! Sophie was amazing communicating with us and helping in every way. The room was exactly as shown. Very clean and functional. We slept so well. I can highly recommend this studio apartment. It had everything we needed and more. Sophie is so warm and welcoming and so is her doggie bumble. We had a perfect stay and are planning our next trip.

Excellent 4 night stay in a unique studio apartment. Large enough for 2 adults and a small dog we used the apartment as a base for sightseeing. Ideally located to cover all areas of the village with-impressive views of the harbour and sea. Sophie was a great host always a call away if needed.

Brilliant location, views to die for of the little cove from the window and the little wilding garden. Port Isaac is a delightful little town, brilliant little pub practically next door to the property. Communication was brilliant with Sophie and she has clearly thought of little touches to make everyone’s stay that but more comfortable. My only complaint is that I want to stay longer next time!

Amazing location, such a dreamy spot.

The view and location are utterly amazing, and with everything at your doorstep!!! We had slight glitches with communication and access, wi-fi to blame and not the host by any means. However, it was not clean let alone enhanced clean, dog hair and filth behind the head end of the cushion bed. Dog hair on the mattress protector (though it was otherwise clean and without strains) and dog hair on the cushions we slept on. I should have checked before heading out for the day and evening but didn’t think we needed to as it was advertised as ‘enhance clean’. Like a futon but nothing like a futon… My hip was on solid floor, and a sleepless night with back and neck pain were to follow. Sadly we only stayed the one night. It’s merely cosmetic so hopefully sorted for the next lovely folk who wish to visit x

A great little studio that covers all your needs. Comfy chairs & bed, WiFi & Amazon TV choices, fridge & microwave. Perfect for an amazing stay in Port Isaac. Sophie is very communicative if you need her to be and shared some top tips for dog friendly beaches. Overlooks the port of Port Isaac, which is wonderful to wake up and see each morning. Very central & close to all cafes, restaurants & shops, but is also very quiet. Highly recommend if you’re ever in Cornwall/Port Isaac.

The place has a magnificent view of the harbor, it’s in a beautiful vintage house. The host Sofie was very kind and helpful. My wife and I had a fantastic stay.

The perfect cosy place with the best view in town!! Sophie was great and provided lots of little extras and thoughtful touches. I cannot express how gorgeous the view is and the location couldn’t be better. We would definitely stay again!

The view from the room couldn’t get any better, it was so peaceful falling asleep listening to the waves. Great location that cannot be faulted, and Sophie was an excellent host giving us recommendations for local activities and places to eat, and being on hand to answer any questions.

Excellent location just next to Golden Lion pub, great for a short stay. Sophie is very quick to respond and helpful.

It’s a great location in the village. With an absolutely amazing view and access to the local shops, coffee & pubs Sophie was very welcoming and on hand for any issues. The crisp pan in the microwave is great for reheating pasties/ pizza. Two adults and a well behaved dog can manage quite nicely for weekend.

Really lovely studio room right on the cliff overlooking the harbour. Was an excellent place to wait out a storm when I was meant to be camping! No kitchen for doing any cooking but there’s a kettle and microwave in the cupboard so perfect for a short stay if you are eating out anyway in the MANY places to eat nearby. The sofa bed is sofa cushions on the floor, but surprisingly comfortable and as good as a mattress. Sophie was very lovely and excellent at being in touch and making sure I had everything I needed, and fitting around my uncertain check in time.

Friendly host, gorgeous views and great location, however it felt a little overpriced and we were disappointed by the cleanliness of the apartment.

We had a lovely visit to port Isaac and the location was perfect, overlooking the harbour. Communication was really quick and easy with Sophie and the room had little trinkets, features and an amazing wardrobe that we admired the whole time. It was equipped with everything we needed and the body/hand/perfume scents were really good. I’d definitely stay here again. Thank you so much Sophie

We had a wonderful time in the studio. Its location couldn’t be any better and it looks exactly as described. The views from the window must be among the best in Port Isaac and the small shops and bakeries are just a few steps away. Many thanks to Sophie who is an exceptional host, making us feel so welcome and hosting us like friends. She went way above of what might be expected and she and little Bumble made our stay extra special. We’d love to come back one day!

Amazing studio flat with perfect views of Port Isaac and even a garden to relax in and watch the sun go down! Situated right in the middle of town with cafés, restaurants and shops close-by. Got lucky with a performance from Fisherman’s Friends too!

The flat is lovely and the location is stunning – right next to the sea and Port Isaac beach. There was a little garden where we could sit and look out over the bay! Sophie was a brilliant host and great to communicate with, and provided lots of helpful local info and recommendations, which makes the stay feel even more special. It was the perfect base for exploring the coast – a fifteen minute car journey to Polzeath beach for surfing and right on the south west coastal path for walks

Great studio right on the main street into Port Isaac, 100 metres to the harbour slipway, great view of the beach from the window. Sophie was always on hand to assist. Would happily stay again when back in the area.

It was all good. Sophie was a good / kind host. 

Location was fantastic! Home was beautifully decorated and well equipped. We felt very much at home and enjoyed our vacation thoroughly. Sophie had thought of every little detail.
